Its 2019, every flagship bow from major manufacturers is a quality product. Debating which one is “best” is completely subjective and has more to do with the preferences and application of the end user and the accessories they use, than it does with the overall quality of the bows themselves. But! That doesn’t mean we...

CHAMA Chairs All-Terrain Swivel Chair Review

What Yeti did for coolers CHAMa has done for the hunting/camp chair. They took a necessary but often undervalued piece of equipment, re and over-engineered it to be more robust, ergonomic, functional, silent, and just all around cool. The result is the 'Iron Throne' of hunting chairs. Having been busted and irritated on quite a few hunts by uncomfortable and noisy seats I was immediately intrigued by CHAMA and had been following the company on social media for some time before I ever got a chance to pop a squat in one of their chairs. When CHAMA heard I was...

Black Rifle Coffee Company; Coffee Club Review

I am not going to pretend to be a coffee connoisseur. Every day I wake up, make breakfast and watch hunting videos on my couch with a large cup of coffee in hand. Now when you drink your coffee black there isn’t a whole lot of nuance too it. At least not for my untrained palate. For me, great black coffee has historically been anything that doesn’t make my face recoil in bitter disgust. But that being said I have found myself really enjoying Black Rifle Coffee (“BRCC”) more than my typical cup o’ joe and have been drinking their...

Total Archery Challenge Gear Checklist

Here is the breakdown with links to some of the gear I ran during 2019 TAC events. 1. A Bow. TAC doesn't supply bow's so you are going to need to bring your own. If you don't plan on shooting the course manufacturers like Prime and Hoyt have bows to test on the practice range but you can't take them on the courses. Mathews and other brands were also there with demo bows but they were only at certain events. Most shooters, including the KOTA crew, seemed to shoot their normal rigs. 3D target shooters brought their target bows, bowhunters shot...

'The Terminal List' Book Review

This article is a bit of a stray from the beaten path of the typical KOTA review but being that I absolutely loved this book and the fact that the author; Jack Carr, is an advocate for topics like the 2nd amendment, hunting, conservation, the veteran and active duty communities among other worthy causes, it felt remiss to not grant The Terminal List its due spotlight. For those of you unfamiliar with Carr he describes himself as an author, Navy Seal, and outdoorsman and his experience and passion for these pursuits is evidenced throughout the book. Hunters will recognize Easter eggs of...
